How to change the IP address of Dahua cameras is one of the most common questions I get. With a 4/8, 16 or 24 channel NVR, such as those included in a kit, you must ensure the channel counts are correct. Using the magic of the DHCP protocol, the NVR will automatically assign an IP address to the camera when it plugs it into its PoE ports.
In some cases, using a NVR with 32 or more channels may be tricky because the NVR lacks a POE port, so you must use an external capture device, you can connect cameras to the NVR by connecting a switch to the NVR’s LAN port.
A primary rule of networking is that no two devices on the same network can have the same IP address, as this will lead to collisions. Therefore, it is your responsibility to change the default IP address of your camera. The article below is a step-by-step guide on how to manually change the IP addresses of Dahua cameras.
Method 1: Using the Dahua ConfigTool
The Dahua ConfigTool is a software program that allows you to manage and configure Dahua devices, including IP cameras. To reset a camera using the ConfigTool, simply select the camera in the program and click the “Reset” button.
Download the “ConfigTool” IP search tool from Google on the computer. After searching the IP address of the camera, enter the IP address of the camera and the password of the camera in the computer browser to enter the camera menu.
Method 2: Web Interface Setup
Click on web on config tool, type current camera address to web browser, login with camera password, enter setting menu and network section, and then TCP/IP section that allows you to change IP address.
Method 3: Dahua NVR login interface Reset
The third method to reset a Dahua IP camera default password involves going to the NVR login interface and clicking “Forgot Password.” You can then unlock the NVR according to the reserved email address.

Camera nhi chala raha han IP address kasiya change kana ha
Hello, just change the IP address of the camera to the IP address of the same network segment as the computer, or use the configuration tool to enable the DHCP function of the camera.
Hello, I manage to change the main IP address of the NVR but I when I change each camera IP address it just won’t work. All that changed was the IP address went from 192.168.5.*** to 192.168.101.***. the 5 changed to a 101. Why won’t the cameras accept the new IP address? I get a message saying “login time expired” or something like that. The configuration tool doesn’t pick up the cameras.
